This hotel is in a great location and a short walk across the bridge to the centre of town. You can also take a lovely stroll along the river. We would have had a lovely view of Inverness castle but the castle and the hotel are both undergoing renovations unfortunately. The hotel is in a lovely building and they are clearly putting effort in to maintain and improve it. Our room was huge, we had a massive comfortable bed and loads of space. There was plenty of lighting, mirrors and sockets. We had some water, tea, nespresso coffee and even some shortbread biscuits left in the room. We had a great sleep and even though there is a street right outside we did not hear any noise. The shower in the bathroom was really powerful and the towels were good quality. The leisure facilities are lovely. The changing rooms were immaculate. The pool and jacuzzi were spacious. The gym looked very well equipped we just didn’t have time to make use of it as we only stayed for one night. There is free parking but it is limited - we luckily got the last space when we were checking in. Staff were really friendly and helpful as well - check in was very smooth.

The whole hotel, and especially the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed in particular was very comfortable and we got a great sleep. The pool in the Spa is long enough to feel you are having a good swim, and not just a plunge pool like other hotels. The staff were very helpful and willing to help out to make your stay the best possible. The food was also excellent, and I particularly recommend the macaroni cheese which is the best I've tasted in years. Its not more than a 5 minute walk to the centre of Inverness, and therefore extremely well placed with loads of restaurants if you want to eat out.

The hotel is an impressive Victorian building in a wonderful location in the heart of Inverness but quiet and peaceful. The very pleasant walk along to the Ness Islands and the Botanic Garden begins outside the door. Our room was tastefully decorated with a view over the River Ness and the bridge into the town centre. The train station was a short walk away. The swimming pool was excellent and there was no need to book it in advance which was great. There was also a hot tub.

Beautiful scenic view from hotel room, we were given an upgrade to river view as per my prior request which was great. We were unable to park in hotel space but a very kind lady informed us of the overflow and assisted with this. Very happy working staff. Enjoyed some mocktails and supper before going to Eden Court for a performance. We have stayed before and will stay again. Great breakfast selection hot and cold. Wonderful morning staff too.

Beautiful hotel very close to city centre Beautiful river view ..room was lovely ,clean ,cleaned everyday. Only down side was room across from us had staff staying in it & would be in & out of room banging door as they went till early hours. Apart from that couldn't fault hotel or staff Maybe bit more choice on bar menu. Didn't eat in restaurant too pricey plus menu was not my cup of tea. Breakfast was delicious plenty to choose from
